  • At Cal-Tex we provide advice for the selection of the tests which are right for your product. Based on the products’ intended end use, we determine a set of tests which will allow you to establish the quality of the sample and how it will perform under given conditions.

  • For woven fabrics, we recommend a strip which is at least a meter long by the width of the fabric. For clothing and footwear, we recommend one complete item or one pair. In the case of leathers, you must supply a complete mantle.

  • Depending on the quantity of tests requested, the technical report can take between three to seven working days, starting from the day the test sample reaches our laboratories. This timeframe is established with the initial budget, and is subject to the client’s approval.

  • Using a sample from the supplier, we verify that the technical specifications established by the client have been effectively adhered to. This allows us to decide whether the sample fulfils the requests of the client, under the required quality standards.

  • This consists of taking a sample of the batch or consignment and selecting a random amount of items or articles which are then submitted to an in-field visual inspection to detect defective units which could affect the overall quality of the sample. Based on the quantity of defective units detected, the batch is either approved or rejected and the result of the procedure is recorded in the technical inspection certificate.

 

The sampling and technical inspection procedures are carried out under Chilean Regulations NCh 43.Of61 and NCh 44.Of2007.
